Week 9 - Star Wars Discussion

Week 9

I decided to write down what we discussed in class that day.

We talked a little about the Star Wars series:

We talked a little bit about how in the original series of Star Wars, Han Solo shot first in the scene where Ghretto and Han were discussing the debt Han has against Jaba the Hut. It’s kind of hard to tell in the films now but if you look really close in the film, Ghretto had shot first but not in the original series.

We also talked a little about the difference between the original and the new versions of the Star Wars series. The new versions of the Star Wars series are a lot more digital than the original versions of the series. The ones that are really digital are the new films they are making after 30 years or so. Film is being developed digitally more and more as the years go by. I’m not surprised that these new Star Wars films (The Force Awakens and Rogue One) are a lot more enhanced, digitally.

We also talked about how the music was a little stolen in the new versions of the Star Wars series. We didn’t get too much into this topic but we did talk about how Lucas’ music in the Star Wars series was not his original music that he came up with.
